Leroy L. Wile
1945-2011
Leroy Lawrence Wile- 66, of Mahone Bay, passed away December 20, 2011
in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.
He was the son of the late Lawrence and Lillian Wile.
Leroy had worked at National Sea Products, Lunenburg for 30 years and also delivered The Chronicle-Herald to Lunenburg for distribution. He was a member of the Mahone Bay Fire Department for 45 years where he had served as an engineer and had acquired the rank of Captain. Leroy’s passion and past-time was fishing, and when he was able to, hunting. He had spent many hours on the lakes of Lunenburg County, fishing for trout and bass. When the mackerel were running, he could be found on the Mahone Bay wharf fishing for them.
He is survived by his daughter, Carole Wile, Moncton; son, Chris (Cathy) Wile, Maders Cove; granddaughters, Kiana and Kesha; sisters, Julia (Harold) Zinck, Clearland; Muriel (Jeffrey) Dauphinee, Cornwall.
He was predeceased by his wife, Betty Marie (Cross) Wile.
No visiting by request. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Friday, December 30 in St. John’s Lutheran Church, Mahone Bay, Pastor Stephen Kristenson officiating. Burial of ashes will be in Park Cemetery, Mahone Bay.
