David G. Tanner
It is with deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of David George Tanner, August 9, 2015 at home with his family present.

Born April 18, 1960 in Lunenburg, he was a son of the late George and Barbara Tanner.

David worked for several years at Riverport Seafood and National Sea Products, Lunenburg. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Harding Branch No. 144, Western Shore. David was deeply involved with Western Shore Fire Department and Lunenburg County Ground Search and Rescue. His favourite things in life were bingo, he enjoyed watching hockey and was a member of the minor hockey team. David was well liked and respected by his family and friends and will be sadly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Corina (Young) Tanner; son, Adam D. Tanner (Stephanie), Western Shore; daughter, Amanda I. Tanner, Alberta; brother, Henry (Doreen) Tanner, Western Shore; Aunt, Leona Meyer, White Plains, New York; granddaughter, Shayna Ida Doreen Delorey; several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by grandparents, Fred and Ida Adams (Western Shore); Bob and Dorothy McKeil (Lunenburg).

A memorial service will be held 2:00pm, Saturday, August 15, 2015 at St. Mark’s Anglican Church, Martin’s Point.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Mark’s Anglican Church or Western Shore Fire Department.

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the members of the Western Shore Fire Department First Responders who went above and beyond the call of duty, and also to EMS , who all worked so hard to save David.
