Judy Eileen Ernst. It is with great sadness that the family of Judy Eileen (Hynick) Ernst, 65 of Mahone Bay, announces her passing, surrounded by family on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax.

Born in Blue Rocks, she was the daughter of the late Blake and Nina (Tanner) Hynick.

Judy was very contented being a loving mother and wife, taking care of her husband and five children. Family meant everything to her, and she took great pride as her family grew even larger over time. After her children were grown up, she worked part time in her husband's dental office and formed many friendships within the community.

Judy is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Dr. Robert Ernst; sons, Todd (Eve), Oakville, ON; Troy, Bridgewater; Matthew, Halifax; daughters Jennine (Darrell) Crawshaw, Oakland; Rebeca, at home; grandchildren, Cayla, Adela, Jordan, Joshua, Quinn, Patrick; sisters, Diane (Ken) Zinck, Dayspring; Lorine (Norman) Shott, Dundas, ON; Betty (William) Hillier, Blue Rocks.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Richard, Leon, Paul, Greville, Reginald, Ellsworth (infant); sisters, Jeanette, Sheila.

Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m., Friday, August 21, 2015 at Mahone Funeral Home, Mahone Bay. Memorial service to celebrate Judy's life will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 22, 2015 at St. James’ Anglican Church, Mahone Bay, The Rev. Ian M. Wissler officiating. Interment will be at a later date in the Garden of Rest Cemetery, Blockhouse.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. James’ Anglican Church; Garden of Rest Cemetery or Canadian Cancer Society.
