Anne W. Eisnor

1941-2016

Anne W. Eisnor
Anne Winnifred (Westhaver) Eisnor. It is with heavy hearts that we announce our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away suddenly at home on January 14, 2016.

Age 74, born in Lunenburg, she was the daughter of the late Linwood and Frances (Veinotte) Westhaver.

Anne lived her life happily and never complained about anything. She always had a smile on her face that made you want to smile back. Her family always came first and she made sure that everyone was well looked after. She moved away from Mahone Bay to Dartmouth with two small babies and husband, Edward in 1960 where she lived for over 20 years and then returned home to Mahone Bay and worked at Bill’s Dept. Store for 16 years. She spent countless hours doing her cross stitching, reading her books, doing her word puzzles, watching the birds in the yard, and weekly trips to the Bingo Hall. She loved visits with her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Michael (Edith Turner, New Glasgow), Indian Point; daughter, Deborah (Brad Scanlan), Dartmouth; granddaughter, Jillian (Bruce) McKinley, Stratford, P.E.I.; grandson, Evan, Dartmouth; great-granddaughters, Madyson, Sydney and Sierra; uncle, Richard “Dick” (Marion) Westhaver, Mississauga; brother-in-law, Donald (Beverley) Eisnor and sister-in-law, Janet (Delma) Ritcey; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Edward and brother, Frederick “Freddie” Westhaver.

Visiting will be held 4 to 7p.m., Monday, Jan. 18, 2016 in Mahone Funeral Home, 32 Parish St., Mahone Bay. A memorial service will be held 2pm, Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Mahone Bay, Rev. Adam Snook officiating.

The family requests memorial donations be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or Indian Point Park Cemetery.

Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mahone Funeral Home, P.O. Box 200, 32 Parish St., Mahone Bay, NS B0J 2E0 Tel. 902-624-8241. Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting: www.mahonefuneral.ca
