Gordon E. Boehner
BOEHNER, Gordon Earl, Martin’s River. Gordon passed away peacefully, Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Mahone Nursing Home, Mahone Bay.

Born November 30, 1933 in Martin’s River, he was a son of the late Allan and Hilda (Keddy) Boehner.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanette (Carswell), Martin’s River; son, Stephen (Nancy Barss), Martin’s River; daughter, Darlene (Allan) Workman, Kentville; sister, Pauline Boehner, Mahone Nursing Home; sisters-in-law, Joan Boehner, Martin’s River; Patricia MacDonald, Halifax; Marion Carswell, Illinois, USA; brother-in-law, Philip (Frances) Carswell, Cape Breton; many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by brothers, Russell (Barbara), Carroll, Percy, Eugene (Connie); sisters, Marie Boehner, Helen (Perry) Eisnor; brothers-in-law, Ronald, John, Douglas and Bernard Carswell.

The family would like to thank those who have provided care and comfort to Gordon and the family; Dr. Catherine Kelly, Lunenburg and the medical unit at Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital; Peggy of Continuing Care; Dr. Ben Heisler and the Ambulatory Care Clinic at Valley Regional Hospital; Dr. Raymond and staff at Mahone Nursing Home and Wray Strong for so many reasons. Words cannot express how you are all appreciated.

Visiting hours will be held 7-9pm, Wednesday, July 13, 2016 in Mahone Funeral Home, Mahone Bay. A graveside service will be held 2pm, Thursday, July 14, 2016 in St. Martin’s Anglican Cemetery, Martin’s River, Rev. Ron Barkhouse officiating.

A reception will follow in the lower level of St. Martin’s Anglican Church, Martin’s River.

The family requests memorial donations be made to Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital, Valley Regional Hospital or Mahone Nursing Home.
