C. Jean Ernst

Jean passed away at age 72, following a brief illness, on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at her home in Maders Cove.

Born in Hopefield, P.E.I. on August 30, 1943, she was the daughter of Stewart and Mary MacKay. She is survived by her husband, Paul.

She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Mahone Bay where she had served on Church Council and as Treasurer. She was a member of the hand bells choir and taught Sunday School. Her working life included Bank of Montreal and the Office of the Ombudsman, from which she retired in 2001.

Visitation will be held 2-4pm, Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016 at Mahone Funeral Home, Mahone Bay. Memorial service will be held 2pm, Friday, Aug. 5, 2016 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Mahone Bay, Rev. Adam Snook officiating.
