Betty Mae Boutilier

Betty Mae Boutilier. It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our loving Mother, Betty Mae Boutilier of Western Shore, on Monday, November 28, 2016 at the age of 84 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.

She was a daughter of the late Francis and Eva Conrad.

She was predeceased by her husband, George Boutilier; daughter-in-law, Andrea; brothers, Wilbert, Freeman, Fred; sister, Grace.

Survived by her children, Mae (Terry), Dale (Andelyn), Joanne (Gary), Cathy (Jordan), George, Betty (Tim), Danny (Angela); a proud grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, who spending time with was one of her finest joys; brothers, Harold and Mark (Pearl); sisters, Jennie and Joan.

For a number of years she worked alongside her friends at National Sea Products, Lunenburg. Betty was known for her passion of baking, road trips with family and quilting with her dear and beloved friend, Tina. She loved nothing more than to sew and enjoyed the pride of doing this with friends and family as well as sharing her projects with them. Mom was known for her sense of humour and making people laugh.

The family wishes to say special thanks to Nova Scotia Health Community Services, Palliative Care, Home Care, V.O.N., Dr. Robertson and Medical 4A Unit Team 1 at South Shore Regional Hospital for their care and kind words. As well, a thank you to all family and friends for all their support, their visits, their treats and in helping the family at this time.

No visiting by request. A graveside service will be held 2pm, Saturday, December 3, 2016 in Western Shore Baptist Cemetery, Western Shore, Rev. Peter Rafuse officiating.

Memorial donation are requested to be made to St. Mark’s Anglican Church, Martin's Point or I.W.K. Health Services Foundation.
