Barbara Louise Sawler, age 78, formerly of Western Shore, passed away into the presence of her Lord and Saviour on February 11, 2017 at Shoreham Village, Chester.

She served the Lord faithfully by her husband’s side, playing the piano as he ministered the gospel. She was a true nurturer and deeply loved her family. She was a loving, protective mother to her only daughter and a wonderful grandmother to her two grandsons.

Born in Kentville, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Gladys Mosher (Western Shore). She was the devoted wife of 56 years and survived by her husband, Charles “Sonny” Sawler, Chester; daughter, Angela (Peter) Graves, Blockhouse; grandsons, Adam (Shawna) Graves, Langdon, Alta. and Nathan Graves, Blockhouse; great granddaughters, Jada and Sierra, Langdon, Alta,; sisters, Mona Dennison (Aussie Stiles), Roberta (Raymond) Carver; brothers, Dale ( Darlene) Mosher, William Mosher; sister-in-law, Rae Sawler; special nephew, Gary (Peggy) Sawler; many nieces and nephews.

She will be greatly missed, but we know she is rejoicing in Heaven.

Visiting will be held 11:30am until service time at 1pm, Friday, February 17, in Mahone Funeral Home, Pastor Joe Green officiating.

Interment will be in Western Shore Cemetery. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association or Western Shore Baptist Church.
