Mary I. Hamm

Mary Irene Hamm, Martins Point. It is with great sadness that we announce Mom’s passing on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg.

Born June 16, 1929, she was one of six children born to the late Albert and Elma (Demone) Crossland (Clearland).

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, James (Fiddlin’ Jim Hamm); daughter, Elaine Andrews; son, Rickie; son-in-law, Harris Hynes; granddaughter, Mary Elaine Stratten; sisters, Glenice Cook and LaVerna Langille; brothers, Harris and Cecil Crossland.

She is survived by her sons, Reid (Coleen) and Robin (Gail); daughters, Patty and Nancy (Fred) Stratten; daughter-in-law, Belinda Hamm; brother, Floyd Crossland; grandchildren, Chris, Brian, Lisa, Adam, Jason, Jesse, Jacob and Zack; great grandchildren, Tanisha, Destiny, Mason, Asher, Alexander, Bryson, Liam and Avia; great great grandchild, Jaelynn.

Visiting will be 7 - 9pm, Friday, July 21 in Mahone Funeral Home, Mahone Bay. A graveside service for family and friends will be held 11am, Saturday, July 22 at Western Shore Cemetery, Western Shore, Pastor Stephen Kristenson officiating.

Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to Canadian Red Cross, St. John’s Lutheran Church, Mahone Bay or Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital.
