Victor C. Hiltz

HILTZ, Victor Clairmonte. Age 71 of Martin’s River.

With great sadness we announce his passing in South Shore Regional Hospital on March 12, 2019 surrounded by his family.

Born in Lunenburg, he was a son of the late Franklyn and Florence (Demont) Hiltz.

He is survived by son, Devin; daughter, Coralee (Brian) Hamm; grandchildren, Mason, Keighan and Kaliya; brother, Franklyn Jr. (Norma); sisters, Rosalie Dorey, Elaine Hatt and Vale (Fred) Snyder; many special nieces and nephews.

Victor was predeceased by his forever love, Darlene (Eisnor); sister, Janet Delorey; nieces Sherry Hiltz and Michelle Hatt.

Victor was the owner/operator of South Shore Scrap Metal, Gold River for 50 years. His warm heart and crooked smile will always be remembered. Being with his family was his greatest passion, especially the close bond he had with his grandson, Mason.

A special thank you to Dr. McNally and the nursing staff at South Shore Regional Hospital for their kindness and compassion at this difficult time.

Visitation will be held 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday, March 15th 2019 in Mahone Funeral Home, Mahone Bay.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 16th 2019 in St. Martin’s Anglican Church, Martin’s River, Rev. Ron Barkhouse officiating.

The family requests memorial donations be made to St. Martin’s Anglican Church or SHAID Tree Animal Shelter.
