Betty R. Walsh
Betty R. Walsh, of Mahone Bay, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2019 in
Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg.
She was the daughter of the late Frank Walsh (Plate Cove West, NFLD) and the late Mildred (Rhodenizer) Walsh (Bridgewater, NS).
She was a member of Mahone Bay United Baptist Church and served there in the Sunday School, Choir, Missionary Society and various other offices.
Her profession was teaching and she held licenses for elementary classroom teaching and classroom music. Most of her life was spent in Mahone Bay and she felt a great deal of pride and affection for the Town.
During her life, she was involved in the Girl Guide movement, the Legion Band and various volunteer activities.
No visiting hours.
Memorial donations are requested to be made to Mahone Bay United Baptist Church.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 12th 2019 in Mahone Bay United Baptist Church, 56 Maple St., Mahone Bay, Rev. Sherrolyn Riley officiating.
Burial of ashes will be in Park Cemetery, Mahone Bay.
