Born March 20, 1932 in Sutherland’s River, Pictou County, son of Irving and Bertha (Austin) Arbuckle, passed away June 8, 2019.

Born into humble beginnings, Charlie valued simple life and enjoyed the richness of family, hard work, the outdoors and a good meal. He loved to tell stories of growing up on the farm in Pictou County and working with the Royal Bank. He joined the bank at age 17, met Eileen while working together in Sydney, married in 1955 and spent a 40 year career throughout Nova Scotia and Newfoundland while raising a family he loved dearly. After retirement he enjoyed many summers at his cottage and in 2004 moved to Mahone Bay to enjoy being closer to his children. He took great pride in taking care of his beautiful yard, being a taxi service for his grandchildren, and loved taking long walks with his beloved dog, Trigger.
