Geraldine Constance "Jeannie" Myra

The family of (Jeannie) Geraldine Constance Myra is saddened to announce her passing on August 28, 2019 in Shoreham Village, Chester. She was born on March 26, 1929. Jeannie was the kindest person you could ever meet. She never turned her back on anyone, was always ready to lend a helping hand in whatever way she could. She was a great mother, baker, cook, and loved being a homemaker. Jeannie never drove but hitchhiked everywhere she needed to go - she said it was a great way to meet new people which she loved! She loved to have fun, sing, and dance and loved company. She never spoke disparagingly of anyone. She was predeceased by her parents Mary and Fred Kaiser, and her husband Elden Myra. She was a gem of a mom she will be sadly missed by her children: Murray Myra, Beverly Myra, John Myra, Joanne Wheaton, and Mary Myra (Paul Melvin). She is also survived by six grandchildren and twelve great grand-children. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in Mahone Funeral Home (chapel), 32 Parish St., Mahone Bay. A ceremony will follow at Western Shore Cemetery in Western Shore. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Nova Scotia.
