Floyd C. Dorey

Floyd Carl Dorey, 69, of Newburne, passed away on September 22nd 2019 in the Victoria General Hospital in Halifax.

His last moments were peaceful with family by his side reminiscing, telling his stories and reciting his famous one liners.

He enjoyed hiking, camping, woodworking, driving his motorcycles, spending time with family, and tinkering at whatever he could get his hands on to "fix".

He is predeceased by his father, Harry C. Dorey; mother, Mary V. Dorey and brother, Kenneth C. Dorey.

He will be sadly missed by his common-law wife, Kerri Oickle and their son, Nicholes Dorey; children, Kim Dorey, Ryan Dorey and Jessica Wagner (husband Christopher Wagner); grandchildren, Vada Veinotte-Dorey, Kiara Wagner, Gabriel Wagner, Marissa Dorey-West, and Micah Veinotte-Dorey.

Cremation has taken place as he always wanted to be home, across from the lake so he could rest where he was most at peace.

A small service will be held 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 1st 2019 in Mahone Funeral Home, 32 Parish St., Mahone Bay.
