Marjorie L. Barry

Marjorie Lerene Barry, age 90, of Blockhouse, passed away peacefully November 1, 2019 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.

Born in Blockhouse, she was a daughter of the late Russell and Jennie (Ernst) Joudrey.

She is survived by her children, Linda, Douglas (Lamechien), Lee (Belinda), Jean (Kendall); grandchildren, Darren (Marlene), Christopher (Andrea),Miranda (Todd), Alicia (Jay), Julianna (Pedro), Erica (Kevin), Robert (Nicole), Mark (Melissa), Krista (Dean), Kory (Kimberley); great grandchildren, Danika, Cody, Shauna, Kendra, Hannah, Marisa, Charlie, Emmett, Gabriela, Hayley, Nate, Sadie, Alex, Rebecca, Katelyn, Henrik; sisters, Florence Slauenwhite, Rosemary (Peter) Tanner; aunt, Audrey Silver.

She was predeceased by her husband, Eric; companion, Gerald Kenney; grandson, Derek Veinot.

This great lady loved to bake and share her goodies with whoever came to visit. She really enjoyed attending the penny auctions where she met so many wonderful people; playing Aggravation and family gatherings.

Visitation will be held 7:00pm to 9:00pm, Tuesday, November 5, 2019 in Mahone Funeral Home, 32 Parish St., Mahone Bay. Funeral service will be held 11:00am, Wednesday, November 6 2019 in St. John’s Lutheran Church, 89 Edgewater St., Mahone Bay, Pastor Adam Snook officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Rest Cemetery, Blockhouse, to be attended by family only.

Family flowers only. Memorial donations requested to be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church; Palliative Care Unit of South Shore Regional Hospital; South Shore Wildlife Association or charity of your choice.
