Marjorie Rosalie O'Quinn
With great sadness we announce the passing of our mom, grandmother and great grandmother.

After a short illness, she passed away on December 4th 2019 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater, surrounded by family. She was the daughter of the late Francis Aaron Lantz and Selena Eliza Lantz (nee Meisner).

Marg was brought up in Clearland on Lantz Mountain Road and she attended the one room schoolhouse in that community. After her schooling she went to Halifax and worked at Moirs Chocolates and there she a met a sailor boy who was from South Branch Newfoundland. Marg was well known for keeping her family well fed and clothed. Her favorite passions were knitting and sewing and her ability to craft beautiful homemade Easter baskets, cloths, dolls and her beautiful homemade Christmas ornaments. Marg had a variety of pets during her lifetime and loved each one dearly, especially her dachshund, "Gem".

Marg came from a large family included late sister, Francis (Tom); late sister, Joyce (Vincent); late sister, Jessie (Frankie); late sister, Elaine (in infancy); late brother, Carl (Jerry).

Left to mourn are her husband of 66 years, Alfred (Gus) O'Quinn; eldest son, Alfred (Cheryl) and Daniel (Darlene); seven granddaughters, Alicia, Danielle, Erin, Lindsay, Melissa, Sandra and Selena; four great granddaughters and five great grandsons.

Also left are sister, Kay (Marvin's Island); bothers, Lloyd (Clearland) and Donald (Bridgewater).

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 10th 2019 in Mahone Funeral Home, 32 Parish St., Mahone Bay. Interment of ashes will be in Hillside Cemetery, Clearland.


Reception details to be announced at the service.

Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to SHAID Tree Animal Shelter or Hillside Cemetery Fund, Clearland.
