David Clark "Papa" Swinamer
SWINAMER, David Clark ”Papa”. Age 66, of Martin’s River, passed away Tuesday, February 18th 2020, surrounded by his family, at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.

Raised in Martin`s Point, he was the son of Clark and Esther (Shupe) Swinamer.

Dave had a successful career with Nova Scotia Power that spanned over 30 years and having worked with his father, Clark, in the early years. In his free time, he started his own part-time construction business that he later developed into a full-time business, Overtime Construction LTD, after retiring from Nova Scotia Power. He successfully grew Overtime Construction and within a couple of years, his son, Chris, joined him and they continued to expand the company side-by-side. Dave loved spending time with his family at their cottage on Molega Lake watching their children and grandchildren having fun and creating a life-time of cherished memories. Dave and Kathy enjoyed many family vacations exploring many parts of the world, from the beautiful province of Alberta visiting family, to taking a trip of a life-time with their children and grandchildren to Disney, to numerous trips to the sunny south with their good friends, Christine and Bob, and Judy and Bub, and to London and Paris to visit Kathy`s sister and her husband.

Dave is survived by his wife Kathy; parents, Clark and Esther; son, Chris and Sarah, Martin’s Point; daughter, Megan and Dana, Martin’s River; grandchildren, Hannah and Cooper.

Dave will be forever in the hearts and memories of his family and friends, his presence will be with us always, and his beautiful and loving spirit will shine down on all of us and guide us through life`s journey.

No visiting hours. A memorial service will be held 2:00pm, Sunday, February 23rd 2020 at Aenon Baptist Church, 57 Hwy. 12, Chester Basin.

Memorial donations are requested to be made to Canadian Cancer Society, Aenon Baptist Church or Calvary Crossroads Church, Mahone Bay.
