Michael Edward McGinn
Michael Edward McGinn
It is with great sadness that the family of Michael Edward McGinn announces his passing on March 19th 2020 in the Fishermen's Memorial Hospital in Lunenburg, NS.

Sincere appreciation is extended to his Doctors and healthcare support, especially to Matt Naugler (NP-HHC) for his years of caring through Michael’s long term battle with heart disease.

He will be deeply missed and is survived by, his loving wife Heather of 58 years; daughter, Sonja; son, Donald; son-in-law, Simon; and grandchildren Cole and Gabrielle. He was a very proud “Gramps” to both. Also, survived by brothers, Howard (Linda) and Paul; nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by mother, Blanche; brother, Robert; sister, Barbara; and grandson Corey. At a young age, he worked in the woods and always loved horses. Car racing and snowmobiling were favorite hobbies for many years. Being a perseverant self-taught mechanic led him to run a successful Petro-Canada Service Station in Chester, NS and later a log trucking business. Since retiring, Michael enjoyed a quiet life, and was grateful for many extra years with family.

Cremation has taken place.
