Patricia D. Hue

Patricia Doris Hue (Boehner), 59 of Vancouver, British Columbia. The family and friends of Pat Hue are sad to announce her passing on July 17, 2014.

Born in Toronto, Ontario Pat grew up in Martin’s River, Nova Scotia. She was the daughter of the late Ralph and Rose Boehner of Martin’s River. She moved west when she was a young woman and worked in Saskatchewan and Alberta and finally settled down in Vancouver, British Columbia. Pat worked for Canada Post and retired in 2012 after many years of service. One of her true loves was traveling; she travelled extensively to Europe, China, Thailand, Russia and Australia where she enjoyed making new friendships. Closer to her home, Galiano Island held a special place in her heart. Pat lived her life on her own terms with a keen sense of humor and strong determination. She fought her battle with cancer the same way.

She is survived by her partner David DeLong, Vancouver BC and her loving daughter, Michele Hue (Cheryl Murray), Vancouver BC. She is also survived by sisters, Paulette Beaulieu, Moncton NB; Debbie Sawler (David), Martin’s Point; brothers, Charlie Boehner (Cindy ), Halifax; Kenny Boehner (Lisa), Beach Hill; Andrew Boehner (Kathy), Martin’s River. Nieces and nephews, Mary Beaulieu, Rodney Beaulieu, Jessica MacDonald, Kelly Sawler, Courtney Sawler, Bailey Boehner, Paul Boehner, James Boehner, Jenny Boehner and Laura Boehner.

She was predeceased by her parents, Ralph and Rose Boehner; brother-In-law, Louis Beaulieu and niece, Emma Boehner.

Cremation took place in Vancouver, British Columbia. Graveside memorial service will be held at St, Martin’s Anglican Cemetery, Martin’s River on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ron Barkhouse officiating.
