Berton E. Jefferson

Jefferson, Berton Ezram - 76, of Bridgewater and formerly of Western Shore, passed away August 13, 2014 at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born June 22, 1938 in Church Lake, NS. He was the son of the late Douglas Glenwood Jefferson and Carrie Levina (Barkhouse) Jefferson.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy Ann (Keddy) of Bridgewater; daughter, Cynthia (Rick Corkum) and grandson, Jonathan Corkum, all of Western Shore; son, Adam (Laura Sartor) of Mississauga, ON; brother, Douglas Jefferson (Gloria) of Bridgewater; sister, Ann (Bill Ebert) of Farmingdale, Maine; sister-in-law, Doris Keddy (George) of Hammonds Plains, and many cousins, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was pre-deceased by his son, Berton (Jeff); sister, Esther and her husband, Harold Dunn; niece, Gina Louise; sister-in-law, Carol Jefferson; sister-in-law, Amy and her husband, Loraine Curll; nephew, Jon Robert (Brenda) Keddy; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dempson and Emma Keddy; brother-in-law, George W. Keddy; niece, Susan (Keddy) Pierce; niece, Sandra (Keddy) and her husband, Donald Smith.

Cremation has taken place. No service by request. Private burial of ashes in the Western Shore Cemetery at a later date. If desired, donations may be made to S.H.A.I.D. Tree Animal Shelter, South Shore Regional Hospital, or charity of your choice.
