Marion G. Cameron

CAMERON (Marney), Marion Grace (RN). Age 76, of Indian Point, Mahone Bay, passed away peacefully September 8, 2014 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater, after an extended illness.

Born in Amherst, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Jean Marney.

Marion was a member of the Aenon Baptist Church, Chester Basin where she was a member of the Women’s Missionary and the church choir. She was a graduate of the Highland View Hospital School of Nursing, Amherst in 1958. During her many years of nursing, she worked at hospitals in Halifax, Dartmouth and Sackville, N.B..

Left with loving memories are her husband, Gary; sons, Wade, Paul and Scott; sisters, Barbara, Claudia and Catherine. She will be missed by granddaughters, Brogan, Courtney and Whitney.

She was predeceased by son, Glen; brothers, Llyman and Brian.

Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2014 in Mahone Funeral Home, Mahone Bay. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, September 11, 2014 in Aenon Baptist Church, Chester Basin, Pastor Joe Green officiating. Following the service, a reception will be held in the church hall. Interment will take place 2 p.m, Friday, September 12, 2014 in Amherst Cemetery, 83 Pleasant St. E., Amherst, Rev. James Grooms officiating.
