James "Jim" Warren Legge, 62. It is with broken hearts that we, the family, announce the sudden passing of James "Jim" Legge of Oakland on September 24, 2014.

He was born in Liverpool, NS on April 18, 1952 and was the son of the late Charles and Erna (Coombs) Legge.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Catherine (Hebb), Oakland; sons, Nicholas (Laurena), Halifax; Thomas (Irene), Edmonton, AB; daughter, Alexandra (Davor), Halifax; sister, Dale (Rollie) Mackenzie, Windsor; sister-in-law, Olga (Paul) Minard, Lunenburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Jim loved his family very much and will be remembered as a hard working and selfless individual with a great sense of humour. He was a proud and dedicated employee of Frito-Lay Canada for 28 years. He enjoyed chatting with all of his customers during his daily travels and will be remembered as a friendly face at many businesses in Lunenburg County. He joined the Mahone Bay Volunteer Fire Department in 1977 and remains an Honorary Member. He was also a role model to many, serving as a leader for the St. James’ Church Boys League (CBL) for several years. In his spare time, he enjoyed the outdoors; hunting, fishing, bird watching and gardening. He loved spending time around his home and walking the trail with his wife, Cathy and beloved dog, Lucy. He was a sports enthusiast and especially loved basketball. His children will remember him as a supportive father always in the stands cheering them on.
