George William Tanner
1935-2015
George William Tanner. Age 79, passed away February 7, 2015 at
Shoreham Village for Special Care, Chester.
Born in Lunenburg, he was a son of the late Frederick and Dorothy (Silver) Tanner.
Since the age of 14, he was a deep sea scallop fisherman out of Lunenburg. He was a former member of Lunenburg County Ground Search and Rescue and Western Shore and District Fire Department.
He is survived by sons, David (Corina) Tanner and Henry (Doreen) Tanner, all of Western Shore; grandchildren, Adam David Tanner (Stephanie), Martins Point; Amanda Ida Tanner (Chris Delorey), Edmonton, Alberta; Raymond George Tanner, Bridgewater; great granddaughter, Shayna Ida Doreen Delorey.
He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara Alice Louise (Adams) Tanner; a brother, Ronald.
A graveside service will be held at a later date.
