Lawrence Vernon Hatt
1934-2015
Vernon worked most of his life as a carpenter in Halifax. Vernon was well known to the neighbourhood as Mr. Fix It. There was nothing he couldn’t fix.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Linda; son, Lawrence Jr.; daughter Louzetta “Lucy” (Ken); his pride and joy, granddaughter, Chantal (Scott) Milne and the apple of his eye, great-granddaughter, Sadie; brother, John (Peggy), Bridgewater; sisters, Rose, Gold River; Sylvia (Ross), Chester Basin; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his mother, Clementine; his father, Gordon; brothers, Vincent and Floyde; two infant siblings; sisters-in-law, Frances Lantz and Betty Hatt.
A graveside service will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, June 6 in St. John’s Anglican Cemetery, Borgel’s Pt. Road, Chester Basin, Rev. James Haughn officiating.
