Pauline M. Cleveland

Pauline May Cleveland (Hiltz). Age, 86 of Mahone Nursing Home, Mahone Bay and formerly of Martin’s River, died July 2, 2015 at the home.

Born in Martin’s River, she was a daughter of the late Aiden and Erna (Eisner) Hiltz.

She was a member of the alter guild and choir at St. Martin’s Anglican Church, Martin’s River. She was a founding member of the Over 40's Club, Chester Basin and a member of the Chester Legion, receiving a Certificate of Merit for her generous support during the Swiss Air 911 Disaster.

Pauline is survived by her daughter, Karen; grandson, Richard; granddaughter, Stephanie, great-grandson, Ciaran, great-granddaughter Genevieve and sister Thelma, all of Vancouver, B.C.; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Ross Cleveland; sisters, Loretta Hubley, Lila Whynot, Lillian Conrad, Dorothy Cleveland, Betty Anne Hiltz, Rita Sears; brothers, Reginald, Louis and Melburne Hiltz.

No visitation by family request. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Monday, July 6 at St. Martin’s Anglican Church, Martin’s River, Rev Peter Rafuse officiating, assisted by Archdeacon Michael Mitchell. Interment will be in St. Martin’s Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to any charity.
