Gregory W. Tanner

Gregory Wayne Tanner. It is with great sadness that the family of Gregory Wayne Tanner, 63, of Fauxburg, Lunenburg County announce his sudden passing on July 13, 2015.

Born in Mahone Bay, NS, he is the son of Iris (Crossland) Tanner and the late Percy Tanner of Mahone Bay.

Greg was an avid hunter and sports fishermen and loved his family and friends.

He was a loving husband, son, father, grandfather and friend, and will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife; Barbara (Suederick) Tanner; daughters, Lisa (Wayne) Higgins, Mariette (Tim) Power, son, Jeremy (Amber) Tanner; grandchildren, Kelly, Emma, Brook, Rory, Ava, Maya, Ivan; brother, Dana, sisters, Heather, Cathy, Jane, Jill and Belinda.

Visiting will be held 7-9 p.m., Monday, July 20th at Mahone Funeral Home, 32 Parish St., Mahone Bay. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 21st at St. James’ Anglican Church, Mahone Bay, Rev. Barbara Minard officiating.

The family requests memorial donations be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, South Shore Wild Life Association or St. James’ Anglican Church.
