Stephen William Drennan

1960-2021

Stephen William Drennan
It is with great sadness that the family of Stephen William Drennan, of Lunenburg, announces his passing on Friday, August 20, 2021.

Steve was born on March 4, 1960 in East York Township, Ontario and lived in the province between East York, Oshawa and Scarborough before moving to Nova Scotia in 1975.

After graduating high school in 1978, Steve attended NSCC in Cape Breton to study small engine mechanics driven by his love for motorcycles.

Over the years, he was very active in sports including hockey, rugby, and race car driving. During his racing career he took part in many Moosehead Grand Prix representing his signature number 44, with his proud family members as his pit crew. Steve had a very artistic side too. He loved to sing, play the drums, and was part of a small band he and his friends started in high school. He was also part of the South Shore Players for over 15 years starring in pictures such as Desmond the Despicable, Rumpelstiltskin, Gentlemen of Fortune and The Three Musketeers.

Above all, the most important thing to Steve was his family.

Steve is survived by his wife, Denise (Beck); sons, Joshua and Jesse; his parents, Jim and Marilyn; brothers, Mark and Greg and many aunts, uncles and cousins, both in Nova Scotia and Ontario.

Before his passing Steve was able to meet his first grandchild, June, which he made laugh with his silly jokes many times during the final weeks of his life.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the South Shore Hospice Palliative Care Society or the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada - Atlantic Division.
