Doris Marie Warner

Doris Marie Warner (Faulkner), age 99 of Halifax, passed peacefully away on November 18, 2021 at Melville Lodge, Halifax.

Born November 12, 1922, in Kempt Shore she was a daughter of the late Herbert Durgan & Ella Elizabeth (Smith) Faulkner.

Doris is survived by her grandsons, Sean (Sandra) Warner, Halifax and Nicholas (Bene) Warner, Norway; great-grandchildren, Elise and Nolan, Norway; daughter-in-Law, Veronica Warner, Halifax; many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence Warner (Mahone Bay); son, Gary Warner (Halifax); sisters, Lillian Faulkner (Kempt Shore), Myrtle (Leo) Grosvold (Windsor), Madge (Burt) Sweet (Dartmouth); brother, Earl (Margaret) Faulkner (Cheverie).

As requested, there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 26th 2021 in Park Cemetery, 47 Park St. (off Kinburn Street), Mahone Bay, Rev. Heather Ferrier officiating.

The family would like to thank the healthcare workers, all the nurses and staff at Melville Lodge for the care and compassion they provided to Doris and close family friend Marg Hawkins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to Alzheimer’s Society of Nova Scotia, Diabetes Canada or a charity of your own choice.
