It is with great sadness that the family of Audrey Aulenback, of Blockhouse, announces she passed away peacefully in Harbour View Haven, Lunenburg, on January 16th 2022.

She was born July 2nd 1925 in Farmville to Glennie (Langille) and Enoch Aulenback.

She received her schooling in Farmville. She married William Aulenback in 1944 and raised her family. When her children were older, she went to work in homes in the area as a cleaning lady until her retirement. She was well loved by her family and friends and her home was open to those who visited.

She is survived by daughter, Doreen Williams; sons, David (Delores), Donald and Paul Aulenback; grandchildren, Debbie Greek, Stephenie Mossman, Kyle and Jared Aulenback; niece, Ester Pike; daughter-in-law, Marie Aulenback; great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Violet Zwicker.

She was predeceased by her parents, Glennie and Enoch Aulenback; her husband, William Aulenback; her daughters, Lucille Crouse and Rhoda Feener; son, Edward Aulenback; brother, Stewart Aulenback; son-in -law, Cecil Crouse.

Audrey had a green thumb and her favourite hobbies were gardening, always taking pride in her flower gardens and all kinds of animals.

Audrey’s family wish to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the Victorian Order of Nurses (VON), home care workers and Harbour View Haven staff, who cared for Audrey during her residency.

A private graveside service for family will be held in the Garden of Rest Cemetery, Blockhouse, Pastor Brooklynn Lane officiating. There will not be a reception due to COVID-19 restrictions.
