Lois Marlene Kerwin

Lois Marlene Kerwin
KERWIN, Lois Marlene - Blockhouse

Passed away at Shoreham Village Home for Special Care on 14 January 2022.

Born in Sunnybrae N.B., youngest daughter of Ambrose and Elsie Fairweather of Moncton, N.B.
Lois is survived by her husband, Jack, of 66 years; Heather (Michael) of Halifax and grandchildren, Brett (Laura) and Haley of Halifax; Bonnie of Oak Hill and Tom (Melinda) of Rhodes Corner and grandchildren, John of Victoria B.C. and Wesley (Melissa) and Azazel of Newcombville NS; several nieces and nephews throughout Canada.

After graduating from Moncton High Scholl Lois accepted a position at # 5 Supply Depot, RCAF, Moncton where she remained until she was married. Early in her married life she accompanied Jack, with baby Heather, to France and Belgium. She lived in many parts of Canada following Jack in his Air Force career. When Lois lived in Summerside she decided it was time to try the work force and found a position at Linkletters Pharmacy working in the Pharmacy. When she lived in Ontario, she was a Brownie Leader. Skating, curling, camping and hiking were her vices. Her problem with hiking was that she never knew where the half way point was. The camping season for Lois was never long enough and the weather was never a deterrent. On a cross Canada camping adventure, she insisted on taking along her canary which survived the 3-month journey. Her many trips to Newfoundland were the ones that she talked about the most and she never had to be asked twice about going back. She resided in Blockhouse for 40 years. Lois was a member of the Blockhouse Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary.

The family wants to express their most sincere appreciation to Dr. David Martell and Medical Staff at Shoreham Village for their outstanding compassion and understanding throughout the years.
