Ruth Pauletta Pace
Ruth Pauletta Pace (Muzzatti) passed away peacefully and comfortably
at Dykeland Lodge where she was well cared for. Ruth was the second
youngest and last remaining of six children (four sisters and one
brother), born to Roy E. and Mary Frances Hunter (Graves). Ruth was
born in Halifax where she grew up in the community of Jollimore. For
all her years, she was particularly proud of her father, Roy, athlete
extraordinaire in the maritime senior sports league (hockey and rugby)
and inductee to the Nova Scotia Sports Hall of Fame. As a young
woman Ruth worked as a stenographer for the manager of Bank of
Montreal in Halifax. Moving beyond the days of shorthand to office
manager for Abbott Laboratories, Halifax, where she remained until
retirement. Staying active, Ruth (along with her sister Sem),
volunteered for twenty years at Birthright Canada, compassionately
supporting others. She deeply enjoyed gardening, the outdoors and was
known to appreciate a glass of wine or beer and a good swim. Not to
mention an A&W burger and root beer (particularly with her
grandson Aaron). Ruth found pleasure in just about everything and
fascination in things some might only see as mundane. She enjoyed life
to the fullest for 91 years. Ruth is survived by immediate family, her
children: Stephen Muzzatti, Greg Muzzatti, Beth Lambert (Pace)
Elaine Pryor (Pace), Nancy Hopper (Pace), Gary Pace; pre-deceased by
Linda Patrylo (Pace) and David Pace. Ruth was privileged and blessed
to enjoy grand children and great grandchildren of her blended family.
