Robert Wesley "Bobby" Hiltz
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert Wesley Hiltz, otherwise know as Bob or Bobby, to many people, after a brief battle with cancer, surrounded by family.

He was born on January 10, 1945 to Carl and Evelyn Hiltz of Martin’s River. He was a loving husband to Barbara for 34 years until her passing in 2004.

Bobby worked as a plumber and heating technician for over 50 years, with the last 27 years with South Shore Scrap Metal, retiring at the age of 65 in 2010. He kept busy doing odd jobs and giving advice when he could.

He is survived by daughter, Sharon (Clarence Jr.) Green and grandsons, Morgan (Tiffany), Devon (Chloe); son, Bobby (Cynthia) and grandsons, Bruce (Madison), Michael (Megan) of Alberta and granddaughter, Zoe; daughter, Barbara (Stephen) Robarts and grandsons, Matthew, Benjamin and Ethan; many great grandchildren. Sisters, Lillian (Robert) Zinck, Barbara (Boyd) Conrad, Janet (Dale) Browne; brothers, Roger (Carmen), George (Jackie), Kelly (Sharon) and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by Barbara, his wife of 34 years; parents, Carl and Evelyn Hiltz; sisters, Sharon, Margaret, Jean and Diane; brothers-in-law, Don Hardy and Ralph McKay.

The family would like to send a special thank you to his brother, George, for spending time with him and driving him to appointments. To the EHS paramedics, nurses and doctors at South Shore Regional Hospital, Palliative Care and the Victorian Order of Nurses.

Memorial donations made to either Diabetes Canada, St. Martin’s Cemetery Fund of a charity of your choice would be appreciated.

A graveside memorial service will be held 2:00p.m., Wednesday, May 24th 2023 at St. Martin’s Anglican Cemetery, Martin’s River.
