Clark Robert Swinamer

1931-2024

Clark Robert Swinamer
It is with great sadness that the family of “Bampy” Clark Robert Swinamer, 92, of Martin’s Point share the news of his passing on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital.

Clark was born October 14, 1931, to the late George and Clara (Adams) Swinamer.

Clark was married to the love of his life, Esther Shupe on March 21, 1953. Clark worked with Nova Scotia Power for 38 years as a skilled and dedicated Linesman, Clark could often be found working alongside his son David for many years on the powerlines until he retired in 1987. Clark was also an avid woodworker creating many beautifully handcrafted pieces over the years, some of which included curio cabinets, bookcases, a pool table, a roll top desk, and hope chests. He was also often found doing yard work, tinkering in the garage, or repairing anything he needed to as he was a true handyman and Jack of all trades. Through the years Clark and Esther had many trips together to see the sights, close to home in PEI and further west to Alberta. On holidays and weekends through the summer Clark could be found in the sunshine on the deck at the cottage at Molega Lake playing a game of cards and enjoying a coffee with his beloved family.

Clark is survived by his wife, Esther; daughter-in-law, Kathy Swinamer; grandson, Chris (Sarah) Swinamer; granddaughter, Megan (Dana) Hirtle and his adored great grandchildren, Hannah, and Cooper.

He was predeceased by his son, David, who meant the world to him; parents, George and Clara; brother, Doug and sister, Juanita.

Cremation has taken placed and as per Clarks wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service at this time. A graveside service to occur at a later date.
