Phoebe I. Mosher
1916-2010
MOSHER, Phoebe Idella (Dorey) - With heavy hearts, and with great
peace, we said goodbye to a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and
great-great-grandmother on January 12, 2010 at South Shore Regional
Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Martins Point, she was the daughter of
the late George and Gertrude (Sawler) Dorey. She was predeceased by
her husband, John G. Mosher; son, Newman H. Mosher; son-in-law, George
Mosher; brother, Jack Dorey and sister-in-law, Evelyn Dorey. She is
survived by her daughter, Noreen V. Mosher, Western Shore;
daughter-in-law, Joan Mosher, Western Shore; grandchildren, Craig
(Monica) Mosher, Melvin Mosher, Sandy (Jean Claude) LeLons, Cindy
(Kevin) Sawler, Crystal (Andrew) Swinimer; great-grandchildren, Adam
(Nicole) Mosher, Shauna (Jeff) Mosher, Eric LeLons, Jessie Sawler;
great-great- grandson, Nathan Mosher; several nieces, nephews and good
friends. Phoebe was a Lifetime Ladies Auxiliary Member of Royal
Canadian Legion Branch No. 144, Western Shore. She had touched the
hearts of many with her fish and chips she so proudly served at the
Lobster House, Western Shore. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m.,
Friday, January 15, 2010 in Mahone Funeral Home, Mahone Bay and where
the funeral service for family and friends will be held 2 p.m.,
Saturday, January 16, 2010, The Rev. Bonnie Baird officiating.
Interment will be in Western Shore Cemetery followed by a reception to
be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 144, Western Shore.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mark’s
Anglian Church, Martins Point or a charity of choice. Arrangements
entrusted to Mahone Funeral Home, Mahone Bay (902) 624-8241. The

and the nurses at the Emergency Department at South Shore Regional

Mother, you were like an angel sent to take care of us. You were not
just a Mother, but a friend that can never be replaced. Thank you for
